IIC seeks to foster recognition of the responsibility held within the conservation profession for preserving cultural heritage around the world. The level of skill and knowledge required for such roles should be recognised in status and salary levels.

The Kunsthaus Zürich is one of the most important art museums in Switzerland. With its collection and an extensive range of temporary exhibitions it attracts a broad spectrum of visitors. From the first of June 2020 the conservation department is searching for a new paper conservator to complete its team.

Objects Conservation at the Smithsonian, National Air and Space Museum
Fellowship appointments are for 1 year with the potential for a 1 year renewal. They commence in the fall and include a $43,000 stipend, with additional funds up to $5,000 for medical insurance, relocation, research related expenses, and conference registration. The fellowships take place at the Emil Buehler Conservation Laboratory in the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center, Chantilly VA.
