Abstract:
The February issue of News in Conservation contains, as ever, very interesting contributions on various issues including an article about the commissioning from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston to recreate the 17th century leaded glass windows for their newly opened Art of the Americas wing. The final result provides both an accurate replica and scholarship to further the preservation of ancient trades. Another contribution, this time from Egyptian author Saied Abdul Hamid Hassan, tell us about the first version of an English-Arabic glossary of conservation terms, developed to meet the needs of professionals in Arabic-speaking countries.
We also talk about the updated IIC website and explore the new functions and features available to new and existing users.
