The Stiftung Schleswig-Holsteinische Landesmuseen Schloss Gottorf, Museum für Archäologie, is looking for a full-time conservator (m., f., div.) for archaeological material as soon as possible for a limited period of three years.

Your tasks:
• Collaboration in the Interreg project Torch "Technological enlightenment to preserve and explore regional Cultural Heritage"
• Development of methods for and realisation of the conservation of objects made of/with bast, especially ropes (old finds and new finds).
• Development of and cooperation in the monitoring of large archaeological wooden objects
• Accompanying various scientific investigations on archaeological finds

Your profile:
• Bachelor's, diploma or master's degree in conservation and restoration of archaeological cultural heritage or comparable training and several years of practical experience in archaeological conservation and restoration with a focus on manual restoration work
• Professional experience in the conservation of archaeological objects made of organic materials, ideally archaeological ropes.
• Good computer skills (MS Office, museum databases)
• Willingness to work in interdisciplinary collaboration, also across national borders
• Willingness to undertake business trips to and stays in Denmark
• Practice- and solution-orientated work
• Very good language skills in German and English, knowledge of Danish desirable
• Class B driving licence
• Commitment, flexibility and ability to work in a team
• Ability to work in a structured and independent manner
• Physical resilience
