Postgraduate/PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty members in heritage science

Xiamen University (XMU) sincerely welcomes outstanding international postgraduate/PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty members in heritage science. They will conduct interdisciplinary research on cultural heritage from the scientific perspective, including characterizing object material and craftsmanship, analyzing degradation phenomena, and developing conservation methodologies.

For postdoctoral fellows, the amount of the fellowship is 160,000 - 480,000 RMB per year for 2-3 years, with two-bedroom apartment (or rent allowance), same educational facilities for children as XMU staff, and opportunity to apply for tenure-track positions etc. The tenure-track positions can also be applied directly.

Xiamen University (XMU), established in 1921 by renowned patriotic overseas Chinese leader Mr. Tan Kah Kee, is the first university founded by an overseas Chinese in the history of modern Chinese education.
