Abstract: The August issue of News in Conservation is out now. This issue is presented in a new, updated format that includes new sections and a new, printer-friendly layout. The other important change that was announced a few months ago, is that from this issue, NiC becomes a digital-only publication. In this issue Pieta Greaves talks about the discovery and conservation of two significant Roman altars in Scotland, Alessandro Pergoli Campanelli reflects on classic conservation theory and the rules of the antiques market and Bohuslava Ticha gives us an overview of her experience as a recipient of the Nicholas Hadgraft Memorial Scholarship. As ever, this issue is packed with news from the world and the latest events.
