CALL FOR PAPERS | APPEL À COMMUNICATIONS
44th Annual CAC Conference and Workshops | 44es congrès et ateliers annuels de l’ACCR
Kingston, Ontario, Canada
May 8 – 12, 2018 | Du 8 au 12 mai 2018

This year’s theme is Hands-On Conservation. Whether you are working with a scalpel, a brush or a microscope, hand skills are an essential part of our work; there are various ways of obtaining training and experience in these skills. Another hands-on aspect of our work is handling objects, which can require ingenious solutions. And what about hands-on experiences for visitors, either encouraged or unwanted? Presentations and posters on all hands-on aspects of conservation are welcome. Pre-conference workshops will focus on a variety of hands-on skills.

Abstracts are due on October 31, 2017. Abstracts can be submitted in French or English through our online abstract submission tool www.surveymonkey.com/r/cac-accr_2018_abstracts-resumes. NOTE: Abstracts for 5-minute short talks and posters are also encouraged, and can be submitted by November 15, 2017.

Abstracts may have a maximum of 500 words, along with a bio of 200 words maximum per author. Please note that speakers are not compensated and must register for the conference (single day registration is available). Abstracts will be published in English and French as part of the conference proceedings, and presentations can be given in English or French. Simultaneous translation will be available.

NOTE: Submission deadlines are earlier than normal to ensure the program can be finalized to meet fiscal planning and granting requirements.

Questions? Please direct all questions about the conference program to Fiona Graham at conference@cac-accr.ca. General information can be found at the CAC Conference site https://www.cac-accr.ca/conferences.
