One of the (many) reasons for joining the 2014 Congress in Hong Kong is to be able to join the exciting post-congress excursions: into mainland China to see the Kaiping Diaolou in nearby Guangdong, as well as to Macao and to Hong Kong’s Lantau Island. (Don’t forget that there are also the fascinating tours on the Wednesday afternoon to join too.) This is your chance to see China beyond the bustle of Hong Kong
Places on the Post-Congress excursions are still available – though they will need to be booked by the deadline of the 15th of August, so make sure your congress booking and separate excursion bookings are made as soon as you can! For more details please see here.
If you have already registered for the Congress via IIC and wish to register for the excursions you should register here.
It is essential that you check to find out if you need a Visa for the excursion to the Kaiping Diaolou in nearby Guangdong (in mainland China) and to Macau – please can you check with the Chinese Embassy in the country where your passport was issued. To make things easier for excursion participants, applications for Visas for mainland China can be made in Hong Kong, when you arrive at the Congress venue on 22nd September, as well as from the Chinese embassies in your home countries; please note that in all cases there will be a fee to pay.
