Raimondi Palace, Garibaldi C.so 178 – Cremona
The regulation of the profession of restorer of cultural heritage and the reform of training courses have significantly modified not only the attitude with which the huge organic heritage spread throughout Italy is protected and preserved, but also the methods of learning and entering a profession that has deep roots in the tradition of the shop. The majority of historical bodies maintain their function within a well-defined religious and social context, without the understanding of which any form of protection is ineffective or extremely problematic. Starting from the discussion of case studies, presented by the Italian Organari Association and the Master's Degree Course in Conservation and Restoration, participants in the study day will be able to get a concrete idea of the variety of situations and the methodological problems faced in this type of restoration. A theoretical in-depth session will start from the introductory speech of Giorgio Bonsanti to take stock of theories and practices of conservation in Italy for organs, enriched by a reflection by Don Luca Franceschini of the CEI. The problem of the training chain and the profession of the restorer will be discussed in the final round table with representatives of the different bodies involved.
