Webinar on networks for emergency response and training for emergent preparedness

NKF-S/IIC Nordic Group Sweden’s Working Group on Emergency Preparedness and Response wants to know more about networks for emergency response and training for emergency preparedness. Therefore, the Working Group as invited colleagues from Scandinacia to share their experience on these topics. Since the spoken language will be in English, the webinar is open to all members of NKF (IIC Nordic Group) and IIC.

1. Welcome and introduction
2. Natalija Ćosić and Philippa Moxon, Bevaringstenestene, will speak about the Importance of Training in Collection Management: A Case Study of Tabletop Exercises for Museum Preparedness in Vestland, Norway. (20 min + Q&A 10 min)
3. Douwtje van der Meulen, from KKOA, will speak about their network for collaboration in emergency response among cultural heritage institutions in Oslo and Akershus, Norway. (20 min+ Q&A 10 min)
4. Ingibjörg Áskelsdóttir, Reykjavik City Museum, and Nathalie Jacqueminet, National Gallery of Iceland Reykjavík will speak about their course on emergency preparedness and response Iceland held in Iceland in cooperation with the Blue Shield. (20 min+ Q&A 10 min)
5. Gitte Sørig Thomsen, Den Gamle By, and Lisbeth Præstegaard, private practice, will talk about how to protect non-movable cultural heritage from fire: a case study from Den Gamle By in cooperation with Østjyllands Beredskab, Denmark.
