MARILYNN THOMA PRE- AND POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

The Marilynn Thoma Pre and Post-Doctoral Fellowships provide the only unrestricted research funding in the United States devoted exclusively to its field, supporting projects and research initiatives that will advance the study of the Art of the Spanish Americas. International scholars, particularly from Latin America, are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

RESEARCH & TRAVEL AWARD

The Foundation offers annual grants of up to $25,000 to scholars, curators, art historians, and advanced graduate students to support projects and research initiatives for up to six months. These grants defray research-related expenses and focus on advancing the field of art of the Spanish Americas.

 

CONSERVATION GRANT
Application deadline: December 15

The Thoma Foundation Conservation Grant promotes and supports conservation projects and research initiatives focused on South American viceregal art. We strongly encourage international applicants, particularly those from Latin America, to apply. Proposed projects should focus on preventive conservation, the restoration of artworks in need of care, the acquisition of laboratory equipment, or the organization of preservation/conservation workshops or symposia.
