The Fitzwilliam Museum houses the principal collections of art and antiquities of the University of Cambridge, and holds over half a million objects in its care. The Department of Manuscripts and Printed Books (MSSPB) preserves one of the finest collections of illuminated manuscripts in the world, dating from the tenth to the sixteenth century.

PhD Studentship

A three year PhD home/EU fees only studentship (funded by The Hunterian) is available within the Technical Art History Group (TAHG) in the College of Arts at the University of Glasgow. The core research theme is "Scottish Stage Designers: Tradition and Innovation". The student will be supervised by Dr. Christina Young in collaboration with The Hunterian. The research will draw upon both private and public collections/archives in Glasgow and London.

Getty Graduate Internships

The Getty offers full-time, paid internships (8 to 12 months) in all four programs of the Trust —the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Research Institute, the Getty Conservation Institute, and the Getty Foundation, as well as in Getty Publications— to students who intend to pursue careers in fields related to the visual arts. Training and work experience placements are available in areas such as curatorial, education, conservation, research, publications, information management, public programs, and grantmaking.
