Applications are invited for 2 internships in the advanced practical and theoretical conservation of easel paintings. Tenure will be for 11 months in the first instance, with the possibility to extend for a second year. Applicants should be recent graduates from a recognised post-graduate training programme in the conservation of easel paintings or expect to graduate before the internship starts in September 2022. The internships are designed to allow maximum experience in studio work, under the supervision of experienced painting conservators, with a wide a variety of paintings. Opportunities for research may also arise depending on projects at the Hamilton Kerr Institute during the period of tenure. Interns will receive a maintenance grant of £1,459 per month for eleven months plus £150 towards conference travel and fees and £300 towards to the cost of a study trip.

• a transcript of the grades achieved in your first degree and postgraduate diploma course (please send your marks so far if he latter is not completed at the time of application;
• 2 letters of reference (sent directly to the Administrator by the Referee).
