Funded through the generosity of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Cincinnati Art Museum offers a 2021 internship in objects, paintings, or textiles conservation.
The preferred internship candidate is a graduate student in a recognized conservation training program, but experienced pre-program applicants will also be considered. The successful candidate will possess good hand skills, a basic understanding of the specialty conservation and an interest in learning about museum practice.
The internship is for ten to twelve weeks in 2021. Due to COVID-19 the start date is open, though earlier in the year is preferred. The successful candidate will arrange their own housing and must have permission to work in the United States. A stipend of $9000 total will be paid bi-weekly. The application deadline is December 15, 2020. The successful applicant will be notified no later than January 30, 2021.
