We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join MonLife’s Heritage team. Your focus will be to pay a key role in delivering our Anti-Racist Wales Project, Researching, Re-examining and Reclaiming: the heritage and culture of Monmouthshire’s Black, Asian and Ethnic minority communities to improve interpretation of our collections so that they honestly tell their complex stories, better representing their links to slavery, colonialism and empire and respect their impact on communities past and present. Working in partnership with Race Council Cymru you will establish a network of interest and deliver a series of community engagement consultations and activities with our diverse communities to develop exhibitions, interpretation and learning resources that truly reflect their heritage, culture, stories and experiences. You will work alongside the Learning and Collections teams to help make our collections more relevant to our communities today and contribute to our decolonisation practice.

This is a temporary post supported by Welsh Government. The post will give you the opportunity to ensure that the collections of Abergavenny and Chepstow Museums are accessible and relevant, so that they can tell a wider and more diverse range of stories.
