<About the 2024 Symposium>
This year, with the public reopening of the restored Notre-Dame Cathedral scheduled for December, we will welcome key figures involved in its restoration: Philippe Villeneuve (Video Appearance), and Benjamin Mouton. Additionally, we will host Professor Lyu Zhou of Tsinghua University, who has led numerous conservation projects in China, and Yukio Tahara, who directed the restoration of Tokyo Station, Japan. From Africa, George Abungu, Honorary Director of the National Museums of Kenya, and Masanori Nagaoka, Programme Officer for Culture, UNESCO Nairobi Office, will join to discuss monument conservation in their respective regions.
