Leather will be the focus of the 2018 "Day of Restoration" organised by the Universalmuseum Joanneum. In addition, the lecturers will examine the state of preservation of Austria's most important technical cultural monument, Eisenwerk of Austria, the Radwerk IV in Vordernberg, as well as the conservation and restoration of gothic panel painting and the restoration of a light-kino work by Gianni Colombo.
The Sixth Forbes Symposium on Scientific Research in the Field of Asian Art will be held at the Freer Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, in the Meyer Auditorium on March 25th and 26th, 2018. The theme for the symposium will be: Research on early Chinese lacquer Buddhas.
