The 2021 IIC Student & Emerging Conservator Conference ‘Faces of Conservation’, is taking place in Lisbon on 14-16 October online.  Read full details so far here.

The programme

We are offering three days of online sessions, debates, networking and virtual tours. It's also a chance to meet an international network of your peers and discuss your interests and concerns.

The organisers are themselves student and early career conservators - together, they will be offering a chance to discuss the direction of your careers in the light of the pandemic, the longer-term challenges and opportunities - and your own hopes and ambitions as you start work in the sector.

Speakers will include established professionals, professors and researchers who will participate across the sessions.

Attendance Bursaries for non-IIC members based in emerging economies

Registration is free to IIC Student and Early Career Members and  €15 for non-members of IIC. However, we are delighted to announce that IIC will be supporting non-member 30 places for students and early career conservators studying or located Band 2, 3 or 4 countries, as defined by UNESCO.

Applications will be open to students engaged in a university or learning programme for conservation, as well as early career practicing conservators currently engaged in either a public or a private capacity located in emerging economies.

This reflects IIC's commitment to making opportunities for professional development more widely available across every region of the world. We particularly welcome applications from students and emerging conservators located in South America and the Caribbean, Africa and South East Asia.
