Sad loss of IIC Council Member Professor Austin Nevin FIIC
The IIC Community has been devastated by the news that Professor Austin Nevin of the Department of Conservation at the Courtauld Institute died on 2nd October after a long battle with cancer. Austin was a Fellow of IIC, a Vice President on IIC Council, chaired the Technical Committees for the Edinburgh (2020), Turin (2018), Los Angeles (2016) and Hong Kong (2014) Congresses, and made a significant contribution to the IIC-International Training Centre for Conservation programme. His inquiring mind and drive to make the conservation profession inclusive and international meant that he was widely known and admired around the world, and his loss will be very keenly felt by his many friends and colleagues. IIC grieves with his family at this sad time.
