December 24 Fellows' Meeting: connect and engage - includes a presentation and Q&A with IIC Fellow Melissa Marshall, and colleagues, in Australia.
Our final Fellows' meeting for 2024 will take place on Wednesday, 4 December, from 8:15–9:15 am (GMT/UK Time).
Due to Melissa and the team joining us from an in-person conference, we have had to make a slight adjustment to the start time of our meeting tomorrow. The meeting will now begin at 8:15am (UK Time), to accommodate their schedule.
This meeting will be chaired by IIC President, Julian Bickersteth and we are delighted to welcome Melissa Marshall (University of Notre Dame Australia), IIC Fellow, Chrystle Carr (Barengi Gadjin Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BGLC)), Billy Briggs (Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation (EMAC)), Troy Lovett (Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owner Aboriginal Corporation (GMTOAC)) and Wendy Luke (Parks Victoria) to present on the Gariwerd Rock Art Management Forum, our IIC Keck Award runner up.
This presentation will delve into the Forum, highlighting the critical challenges and the vital role of Indigenous knowledge and leadership. They will also explore the creation of the Practitioner’s Guide, discussing its significance and anticipated impact for the future.
We are thrilled to be able to present on the Gariwerd Rock Art Management Forum and offer the chance for our Fellows to engage with this project and find out more.
