A full transcript of the round table discussion ‘Before the unthinkable…happens again’ is now available for download here: (PDF; 735KB).

The discussion was the second event in IIC’s new initiative, Dialogues for the New Century: Round Table discussions on the conservation of cultural heritage in a changing world. It was held at the National Museum of Western Art, in Tokyo and a panel of eight expert speakers explored the issues surrounding the protection of cultural heritage from earthquake damagemage and how this can be addressed.

As with the first Round Table in the Dialogues for the New Century series, ‘Climate change and museum collections’, you are invited to add comments on the round table event, the transcript or the Dialogues for a new century initiative below.
