What membership means and how much it costs
The benefits of membership are summarised on the membership information page. You can find a more detailed description of the Institute's aims and purposes in the Memorandum and Articles of Association. Please read these documents before making your application.
Cost of membership
Current subscription year (1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011) in British pounds:
Individual member: £50
Student member: £19
Institutional member: £180
How to pay
When you have filled in this form you will be given an opportunity to check and revise it. After that you may choose to pay electronically via WorldPay. We accept the following credit/debit cards:
You will be sent a receipt by email on completion of the process.
You may alternatively pay by cheque in GB pounds drawn on a British bank or by bank transfer.
Instructions on how to do this will appear at the appropriate point in the registration process.
Cancellation policy
You have the right to cancel your membership within two weeks. You will get a full refund of the subscription. To cancel your membership, contact IIC by e-mail or by post or telephone, quoting the reference number you will be given during this transaction.
IIC reserves the right to refuse applicants, according to item 12 of the Articles of Association, in which case a full refund will be made.
Notes about filling in the form
1. Once you have started entering data do not use the browser Back and Forward buttons. Use only the buttons on the page itself.
2. Asterisked fields (*) must be filled in.
3. Login name: use only English lower case letters and digits, with no spaces or punctuation, e.g., "johnsmith2034".
4. The address entries in the top part of this form will appear on the IIC website, but only for logged-in members to see. If you do not want your postal address and email details revealed to other members, fill in only the address for correspondence further down the page. This will only be readable by the IIC administration, and is needed for sending you your publications. You can change your mind later and update your details on the web site.
5. For Institutional Membership: put the institution name as the "Family name" and leave "First names" blank. You may repeat the institution name under 'Institution', but there is no need.
6. For Student Membership, please send by post, fax or scanned PDF a photocopy of your current student card or a letter from your supervisor.
