The Congress venue

In the very heart of Westminster, the award-winning Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre is a purpose-built venue uniquely situated in the shadow of Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Paliament and the London Eye.

The technical, presentation and communications facilities are modern and efficient. The Centre is fully air conditioned and has in-built wireless network. The cuisine is provided by Leith's. Vegetarian and other options are available. Leith's use Fairtrade products in support of Third World producers.

Directions to the Centre

Follow the directions below or use the Transport for London Journey Planner.

If you are likely to use the tube or buses much during the week, you are strongly advised to buy an Oyster Card or a 7-day travelcard. It works out much less costly than buying tickets by the journey. The Centre is in Travel Zone 1.

By tube
The nearest tube stations are St James's Park (District & Circle Lines) or Westminster (District & Circle Lines, Jubilee Line). Both stations are around 5 minutes' walk from the Centre.

From the airports
From London Heathrow Airport, take the Piccadilly Line to Gloucester Road, and change to the District or Circle lines. Or take the Heathrow Express to Padddington, the Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus, and the Jubilee line to Westminster.

From London Gatwick Airport, take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station, and the Circle or District line to St James Park or Westminster; or take a bus from Victoria along Victoria Street (5 minutes).

From St Pancras Eurostar Terminal
Take the Victoria Line to Victoria, then the District or Circle Line to St James's Park or Westminster; or a bus along Victoria Street.

By bus
The following buses stop at Parliament Square or in Victoria Street: 11, 12, 24, 53, 77, 88.

By train
The following main line stations are within walking distance from the Centre, or a short bus-ride if you are carrying luggage: London Victoria, London Charing Cross, London Waterloo (Mainline, Waterloo East).

By car
There are 3 car parks close to the Centre, as follows:
