Opening reception at the KHM Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna

Monday, 10 September 2012 at 6.30 pm – 8 pm
The Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna in its magnificent building on the Ringstraße was opened in 1891 by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary. It houses the large Habsburg art collection with works from seven millennia – from Ancient Egypt to the late 18th century – and will provide an impressive venue for the opening reception of the Congress.

Grand Congress Dinner at the Vienna Rathaus in the historic centre of Vienna

Thursday, 13 September 2012 at 7 pm
Vienna’s Rathaus was designed by Friedrich von Schmidt in the neo-Gothic style, and built between 1872 and 1883. The 2012 Grand Dinner will be held in the palatial Wappensäle suite.

Final evening drinks reception at the MAK Österreichisches Museum für angewandte Kunst / Gegenwartskunst (Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art)

Friday, 14 September 2012 at 6.30 pm – 8 pm
The MAK was founded in 1863 and together with its branches in Vienna, Los Angeles and Brtnice is “committed to a sustainable improvement of co-operation between art and the economic sphere”. The MAK Säulenhalle will host the farewell reception, providing a vivid backdrop for the congress topic.
